Get ready for a day of fall fun at our annual Scarecrow Festival! This family-friendly event has something for everyone, from creative contests to exciting activities. Show off your skills in our Scarecrow Building Contest, enter your most peculiar produce in the Wacky Vegetable Contest, or indulge your sweet tooth in the Pie Contest. Don’t miss out on the chance to clear out your closets, basements, and garages at our flea market.
Whether you're a seasoned scarecrow builder, a baking enthusiast, or just looking for a delightful day out with the family, the Scarecrow Festival is the place to be. All ages are welcome, so gather your friends, family, and neighbors for a day of community, creativity, and autumn traditions. We can’t wait to see you there!

Enter our Pie Contest, show off your creativity in the Scarecrow Building Contest, or bring your quirkiest veggie creation to the Wacky Vegetable Contest! Prizes and bragging rights await. Open to all ages!

Scarecrow Contest
Judged by festival visitors. 1st prize: $50, 2nd prize: $30, 3rd prize: $25 (cheques)
- Entries are open to all ages and can be made individually or by a family/group.
- Entries can be titled but do not include your name or groups name.
- Entries can be a single scarecrow or a group of scarecrows.
- Your entry can be any size but must fit into a 6’x6’ square.
- Scarecrows must be in good taste and appropriate for all ages. Keep it FUN, not scary.
Wacky Vegetable Creature Contest
Judged by festival visitors. 1st prize: $25, 2nd prize: $20, 3rd prize: $15 (gift certificates)
- Entries are open to all ages and can be made individually or by a family/group.
- The majority of the creature must be made of vegetables but feel free to use other materials to decorate.

Lemonade Stand Contest
Judged by festival visitors. 1st prize: $25, 2nd prize: $20, 3rd prize: $15 (gift certificates)
- Entries are open to all ages and can be made individually or by a family/group.
- Cups will be provided to all entries for the judging.

Pie Baking Contest
Judged by a panel of judges. 1st prize: $50, 2nd prize: $30, 3rd prize: $25 (gift certificates)
- Pies must be dropped off between 1-1:30pm.
- The contest is open to bakers of all ages and can be made individually or by a family/group.
- Pies must be made by the baker(s).
- Each Pie must be made from scratch and based in a 9” – 10” pie plate/pan. All pie plates/pan will be returned.
- Whole pies must be submitted.
- Bakers may submit up to three pies.
- Please bring the recipe for the pie you are entering. We will publish all the recipes on our website after the competition.
- Professional bakers cannot compete.

Flea Market
Clean Out, Cash In – Sell Your Stuff at the Scarecrow Festival Flea Market!
Got clutter? Turn it into cash! Our Scarecrow Festival Flea Market is the perfect opportunity to clear out your closets, basements, and garages while making some extra money. Rent a table, set up shop, and sell your gently used items, handmade crafts, or unique treasures.
Whether it’s vintage finds, household goods, kids’ toys, or seasonal decor, there’s a buyer waiting for it at our festival. Plus, you’ll be part of a fun, community-driven event that brings people together. Spaces are limited, so don’t miss your chance to join the market!
- $5 per table.
- Participants will be supplied a 6’ banquet table.
- Participants are responsible for their own float.
- Register by Friday, September 13 at noon to have a table supplied.
Kids Games
We will have fall themed games set up for kids to participate in.
